SYMBIAN BELLE
 The next version of Symbian, called Symbian Belle, is announced today. Hot on the heels of the Symbian Anna release, the latest version of our smartphone operating system looks and works better than ever before. Headline features are gorgeous new widgets, more customization options, new apps and built-in NFC functionality. As before, the upgraded operating system will be available on new Symbian smartphones and will be made available as a free update for users with phones running Symbian Anna.
  Free-form, differently-sized, live widgets: widgets like the clock, email, music player, favourite contacts and the calendar have been redesigned and now come in five different sizes and rearranged to create a completely personalised set of screens. There are also new ‘Toggle’ widgets for tasks like switching on Bluetooth and changing profiles.


 More homescreens: with Symbian Belle the maximum number of homescreens rises from three to six, so now you can have absolutely everything close at hand.
 Improved status bar: the status bar sports a modern, flat look and incorporates a pull down notifications tab that incorporates common settings and notification of incoming messages, missed calls and the rest.
 Modernised navigation: the navigation and options bar at the bottom of the screen sports a modern, new look, similar to that first seen on the Nokia N9.
New apps: a new suite of powerful business apps from Microsoft includes Lync (IM for businesses, like Microsoft Communicator), Sharepoint, OneNote, Exchange ActiveSync and PowerPoint Broadcaster.
Informative lock screen: the lock screen now tells you about missed calls, messages in your inbox and more, so you can check your phone at a glance. You can now also add a coloured wallpaper to your lock screen.
NFC devices: With Symbian Belle, Near-Field Communications (NFC) is now deeply integrated into the operating system, so you can share pictures, connect with accessories, and check-in – all with just a tap.
Visual multitasking: Now you can flick between larger live images of your open apps to see what’s going on at a glance and move quickly between your apps.

ANDROID
   Android is a software stack for mobile devices that includes an operating system, middleware and key applications. TheAndroid SDK provides the tools and APIs necessary to begin developing applications on the Android platform using the Java programming language.
Multiple notifications
Android phones have capabilities to display multiple notifications on top of the phone screen unlike iPhone which can display only one notification at a time.
For instance on an Android phone you can see notifications about your new emails, tweets, app updates, Facebook updates and others in a single glance while in iPhone you have to tap on each app to see if there is any new email, tweet and wall post.
Easy access of frequently used applications
Android phones allow you to create widgets of your favourite and the most used applications on your phone's home screen. This means every time you access the most frequented application you do not have to scroll through dozens and dozens of applications installed on the phone just like what iPhone users do.
Widgets are very handy and save time and effort each time you have to use your pet apps. If you feel you aren't using a particular app as frequently you can just dump its widget into the trash.
The main programme would still be available on your phone.
Widgets are like short cuts of phone apps, just like how you have short cuts of programmes on your computer's desktop.
Quick connectivity options
In iPhone you have to get into the settings app to make any modifications to connectivity tools like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS etc. but Android phones have quick buttons on one of their home screen from where you turn ON/OFF these connectivity options with just one touch.
This is a very useful feature which defines connectivity in true sense for its users.
Instant search
Not only is there a Google search tool on the Android phone home screen but it is also voice enabled. This means you can just speak the content of your search and Google will do the rest.
Apart from this there are two separate apps for Google search and voice search inbuilt into the Android phones. Of course the fact that Android is Google's creation helps in understating such magic.
On the other hand iPhone has no dedicated tool for search except a feature which allows you to search within your iPhone. Any search which needs web takes you to its browser Safari.
Seamless integration of data
Android skilfully integrates information from various aspects of our lives like Facebook, emails, twitter, Flickr and much more and puts them together in your phone.
Additionally you can also choose to sync contacts from your Facebook and Google together into your contact book where all the pre-saved information like name, birthday, email address etc get automatically populated.
This feature is totally absent in iPhone unless you use some third party apps.
Flash player
Though the iPhone browser, Safari, is fast and smooth it lacks the capabilities to play any content which needs Flash player. Android phones however support flash players on their browser and have the flexibility to play everything from videos to plain text in no time.

IOS 5


Notification Center

All your alerts. All in one place.

You get all kinds of notifications on your iOS device: new email, texts, friend requests, and more. With Notification Center, you can keep track of them all in one convenient location.

 iMessage

Another new useful feature, which will hurt Blackberry and the telecommunications companies wanting to sell you stupid SMS and MMS contracts: Apple has implemented a new messaging system called iMessage.

New Camera app and photos

The new Camera up gets two of the most-requested features in the history of iOS. The first is a shortcut in the lock screen to access the camera right away, so you don't have to unlock and then click on the Camera icon, which often makes you lose the moment.

Newsstand

Apple has built a virtual newsstand right onto iOS 5, very similar to the iBooks app but exclusively for magazines and periodicals. It looks like a cross between iBooks and a folder view, actually.

Twitter integration everywhere

iOS 5 will have Twitter integration everywhere. Apps like camera will be able to directly post the image to Twitter. The YouTube App, Safari or even Maps will support direct sharing in Twitter.

A new Safari

Safari has been revamped with new features. Reader will allow you to reformat a site on the fly, taking out ads and reformatting text so it looks better on your iPad or iPhone screen.

New Reminders app

The new Reminders app makes it easy to make to-do lists. The interface is very simple and it's synchronized between iOS 5 devices and your Mac OS X desktop or notebook.

New Mail app

Mail includes a barrage of enhancements
• Rich Text Formatting, which will allow you to annoy the hell out of everyone bolding every sentence in your mails.

No PC required

At long last, the most important feature of them all: You will not need iTunes and PC anymore to use your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. Apple has caught up with Android and Windows Phone 7. 

New Game Center

The have enhanced Game Center too. Unfortunately, they have not renewed its awful casino interface, which looks as dated as always. But they have added much needed concepts from Xbox Live and other gaming systems.





















BLACKBERRY

Multi-touch interface

The screen resolution shown in the video demo above is 360×480, which is the current resolution of the BlackBerry Storm. The demo itself also extensively makes use of a multi-touch interface and a touchscreen keyboard, which makes it appear that BlackBerry is likely to use touchscreens on all future models.

Webkit browser

The current Web browsing experience on BlackBerry is slow, difficult to navigate, and frustrating. That’s why RIM bought Torch Mobile last year and decided to revamp its Web experience using Torch Mobile’s WebKit browser. 

Redesigned home screen

The classic BlackBerry home screen has one row of five to six icons and then you hit the BlackBerry key to see the rest of your apps. The new BlackBerry 6 home screen has two rows of four apps each and then you use the touchscreen to swipe left or right to see different groups of apps.

Universal search

Following the lead of Palm webOS and iPhone, BlackBerry 6 will offer an all-device search that will help you find mail messages, contacts, apps, songs, videos, etc. And it will let you extend the search out to the Web if what you’re searching for isn’t on the device itself.

Context-sensitive menus

The BlackBerry key has always served as a menu button to provide additional options (kind of like right-click on a PC). BlackBerry 6 extends that concept into the touch interface.

Social tools

BlackBerry has already worked with Facebook and Twitter to build solid apps for the BlackBerry platform, but in OS 6, BlackBerry is building some social hooks into the platform itself.













Which is Smarter phone?
For me its iOS 5, kitang kita naman sa features.
But its up to you kung ano ang para sainyo,
basta ako. Wala ako niyan kahit alin dyan di pa ko nagkakaron.
Haha. Kaya, I can't tell.
Based lang sa mga nabasa ko, iOS is the best :)

Happy or Sad?

Pwede bang both muna. . . ano ba yan ^.^ sakin pa talaga napatapat ang topic na ito. aHahAy………
Mahirap para sa akin ngayon mag blog tungkol sa ganitong bagay kung hahanapan nyo ako ng  mga kakilig-kilig na bagay. . . hahaha:D





Lam nyo kung bakit? Kasi wala naman din kasing nangyaring kakilig-kilig na bagay sakin nitong valentines. . ayun, nag date kami ng mga assignments at projects nmin…hehehe..  eh kayo na ba naman ang malayo sa isa’t isa at hanggang text at tawag na lang muna kayo magkakausap.. haaaayst….



Pero kahit ganun, hindi naman ako nag-iisa. Ikaw na ba naman maraming kasamang mga single, at meron pang NBSB!... hahaha... ayun sama-sama kaming hinayaang lumipas ang araw ng mga nguso este puso pala... hek hek hek ^_^



Ang sabi naman nung iba, nakakainsulto daw kapag dumarating and araw ng mga puso na “single” ka specially sa girls. . . feeling daw nung mga hindi nakakatanggap ng flowers.......pangit sila... edi ibig sabihin pangit na rin ako? Hahahaha!  Pangit agad? Pwede bang malayo lang muna sa nagmamahal sayo....? hehehe..buhay nga naman...

I can consider my Valentines day as both sad and happy.  Why sad? Malungkot kasi una, yung plano naming date ng bestfriend ko, hindi natuloy...  dahil sa may mga natirang exam pa kmi at sobrang busy talaga sa studies, hindi na ako nakapag set ng date para magkita kami, eh yung maganda kong bestfriend, may trabaho...this week eh pang gabi na sya... kaya nahirapan talaga ako makapag isip ng right timing, hanggang sa ayun nga, hindi na kami natuloy... sobrang nalungkot talaga ako nun kasi minsan na lang kami nun magkita, minsan lang makasama at makapag kulitanL... Pangalawa naman, malayo ako sa special someone ko. Kiailangan niya muna kasing lumayo para sa ilang mga bagay sa kangyang buhay..an drama no? Nalungkot talaga ako pero naisip ko rin naman na taman na rin siguro yung ganun para makapag focus ako sa studies ko, tsaka mahirap din para sakin na hindi kami magkikita na alam ko naman na malapit siya sakin... alam mo yung feeling na natetempt ka na gumawa ng paraan para magkita kayo... Kaya mejo mas ok na rin na nagkalayo muna kami... yun nga lang, nung valentines day, parang hindi uso samin ang batian, hahaha, kahit man lang batian ng happy hearts day walang nangyari...ako na ba naman kasi ang kuripot at hindi man lang nag lod.. kaya ayun tuloy, parang nagpapaawa yung isa kasi “sad” daw ang love life nya at “love less” pa nga raw... hahaha! Nakonsensya naman tuloy ang lola mo :P
Why happy? Simple lang yan.... masaya kami  magkakasama ng mga friends ko at masaya rin kaming nakatikim ng mga cakes and chocolates na natanggap nila..hahahaha! LOL:D

Basta sa buhay ko ngayon (malungkot man sa part “niya” kasi hindi talaga kami nagkakaroon ng constant communication at inaamin ko naman na fault ko yun) umiikot lang ngayon ang buhay ko sa pag-aaral, family at ministry. I NEED FOCUS! Masakit man (kahit kanino/saang sitwasyon) kailangan munang maisakripisyo/maisantabi talaga ang isa/ilang bagay for you to make it to the finish line.

All about the Programming Language Prograph

The Prograph Language

Prograph is a functional language.  It's data flow can be compared to Scheme's (or any other functional language) with the primary difference that the programmer does not have to keep track of parenthesis.  Prograph use is simple: data is represented with lines and methods are various boxes.  Each box contains nodes for inputs (terminals) and outputs (roots).  Prograph methods have more than just variable arity; they also have output arity.  The methods have an I->O mapping from one or more inputs (I) to one or more outputs (O).   The data in Prograph is passed by value.  This enables several methods the use of a single output from another method.  These receiving methods can then be run in parallel without one method altering the data in another.  This feature will find its usefulness if ever the von Neumann model for parallel processing is upgraded to its more visionary counterparts. Heretofore, method inputs and outputs have  been referred to as data as opposed to variables.  Strictly speaking, Prograph does not have variables.  Inputs and outputs are named only as a convenience to the programmer.  A consequences of this is lower overhead for a method's environment (if there are no variables, there is no need for an environment).  Scoping, in this context, becomes irrelevant.   Object-Oriented Programming comes naturally with Prograph's modularity.   A class is defined just as readily as a persistent, and is still visually expressive.  A class contains methods and variables.  In this case, variables are simply persistents with another name. Inheritance is easily shown via a line from the parent class to the child class.  Learning to use Prograph is time consuming.  After getting acquainted with the graphical nature of the language, the programmer must then prepare for the challenge associated with learning the variety of constructs. On top of that, some universal constructs (such as conditionals) have their own Prograph version that requires attention.  The conditional, for example, has 16 different possible implementations. The greatest disadvantage of programming in Prograph is the challenge of all Visual Programming Languages: spaghetti code.  For a  simple program with 15 methods, each with three inputs and three outputs, the  potential for readability loss is great.  This difficulty is overcome with experience.  In practice, Prograph is quite readable (perhaps “viewable” would be more descriptive). In Prograph there exits 9 basic constructs, 6 external constructs, 4 main constructs, and 10 control constructs. These constructs, in addition to the other symbols and cases, provide the ability to program as in any other language. The four main constructs are named: section, universal, class, and persistent. These are the overall constructs that allow for creation of programs. Sections consist of universals, classes, and persistents. Universals are methods (i.e. functions, procedures, subprograms). Classes, as in other languages, are data structures that allow for the combining of data and the methods that operate on that data. Classes  consist of methods and fields. The class methods and fields are essentially the same as universals and persistents respectively. Persistents are most similar to global variables in most other languages; however their data persists from run-time to run-time such that the data retains its value until changed or the entire process is destroyed. 


Like  all languages, Prograph has its positive and negative aspects.  It provides an easy way to depict programs following a flow model, and the translation from flow chart to code is very simple, as code is just as graphical as the flow chart. One of the biggest disadvantages of all visual languages is the longer than normal learning curve that a programmer must go through before becoming proficient in the language. Also to Prograph specifically, it is a dead language in that it is not widely used and as a language is not being developed. However Prograph, with other visual languages, provide for a new dimension to traditional programming not found elsewhere.

Sa sobrang daming facebook user, baby nalang ata ang wala.


Ako, Pag nag Log-in ako sa facebook.
Ang unang gingawa ko, syempre check ng Notifs :)
Then, messages tapos friend request.
I only accept it when i knew the person.
Di naman sa Snob or ayoko ng friends.
I just don't want them to know What's on my mind.
Lalo na't di ko naman sila kilala. :)
Di naman paramihan ng friends e, diba?
Haha. xD


Facebook din ang nagiging instrument para kahit papano,
updated pa din ako sa mga friends and family ko na nasa malayo..
Kahit di ko sila minemessage, I always visit their wall. NakikiChika kung anong
bago sakanila. :D


Anu nga ba ang maling nagagawa ko using Facebook?

Siguro meron, Unahin natin sa Status update.
Minsan kasi, especially pag emotional ka, Kung ano ano na nailalagay
sa status. Kahit medyo personal na.


And then yung mga photos din. Imbakan ko ng pictures ang FB.
bura sa memory card. Ngayon napapaisip ako, pano kung mangyare sa FB
yung ngyare sa friendster? Wipe out lahat ng photos ko dun.
Tsss. Kaya nagbabalak na ko mag back up. Hoho :))


Wala naman kasi akong ginagawang iba sa facebook ko,
minsan lang din ako mahilig sa games, Sims, Tetris mga 4 to 5 times ko lang nalaro.
Mas interesado kasi ako magbasa ng status update ng mga friends or relatives ko.
Magbasa ng stories about reality.


Update Status, depende kung matripan,
Badtrip lang sa iba. Lahat nalang ng ginagawa or kung asan sila kelangan pa
i'status. Tssk.


Twitter?
Pulubi ako sa followers, Haha.
Mga finafollow ko, mga interesting na mga artista. Then mga friends ko din.
laman ng tweet ko? "Follow nyo ko" Hahaha.
Ayoko naman kasi ng twiiter, at the first place nakakatamad mag mention isa2 ng mga ittweet mo.


Mas masaya ako sa Blog.
Minsan kasi dito ko nailalalabas mga nararamdaman ko.
Unlike sa facebook na konti lang masasabi mo.

After graduation:Plans and Ambitions

After

graduation. . . . .

Ano pa nga ba ang karaniwang ginagawa ng isang tao after graduating in college? Edi syempre job finding na…at kung dito ka sa ‘Pinas maghahanap ng trabaho, talagang good luck na lang sa’yo pwera na lang kung marami kang “backer” kung tawagin nila. Anyway, yun naman talaga dapat eh, kaylangan maging masipag ka sa paghahanap ng trabaho if you don’t want to waste the past four years of your life in finishing your Bachelor of Science course.

Pero, isang napakagandang pangako at encouragement sa akin ng sinabi ni mama kong maganda at mapagmahal na after graduation, literally, talagang bakasyon grande daw muna kami sa probinsya…WOW! Sobrang na touch nga ako nun ky mama eh kasi ako nga sabi ko after grad hahanap na agad ako ng job eh pero siya talaga nagsabi na sama-sama kaming magbabakasyon sa Bicol. Kaya sobrang saya ko naman and somehow excited kahit alam kong marami pa ako/kami na mapagdadaanan bago makatapos.


Tutal blog ko naman toh, savi nga ni Ms. Alyssa Mei C. Asis, “Blog naming ‘toh, asan sa’yo? Don’t hate, just appreciate…”hehehe:P..After graduation, nagpaplano ako or kami ng parents ko na pumasok ako ng Military, I’m going to take the examination and then kapag pumasa, I’ll just think na will yun ni God na mag military ako, otherwise it’s obviously no… Marami rin kasi kaming mga friends na sundalo na nag-iencourage sa akin na sumubok dun…kaya whatever happens, go lang ng go…

Kung hindi naman ako makapasa sa Military, go na ako sa paghahanap ng trabaho..So, as a Computer Science graduate, kailangan naman related sa course ko yung kukunin kong job, naalala ko nung isang beses na tinanong kami sa isang prof namin kung anong target namin na job or specifically sa isang company, kung programmer ba, system analyst, etc.. Napaisip nga ako nun, “oo nga no, ano nga ba?” Siguro sakin, kung halimbawa natanggap ako sa isang company, ok na sakin yung kung ano yung available nila na trabaho dun na sakto sakin as BSCS graduate (actually kasi, hindi ko pa talaga alam ngayon kung magiging “ano” ako sa isang job/ company..hehehe..) Basta ganun nalang…  

Kung hindi naman ako makahanap agad ng trabaho… tingin ko magtuturo muna ako ng mga computer subjects if ever kasi ayoko makasama dun sa mga taong “unemployed”. Siyempre ayoko kayang maging pabigat sa pamilya ko tsaka wala naman sigurong gugustuhing maging pabigat sa mga magulang mo na nagpaaral sa’yo within sixteen years. I want to be a productive citizen of the Philippines!! Hahaha :D Hindi nga, pwere biro,.,.,Marami ng mga research ngayon na marami ang guma-graduate ng college pero karamihan daw sa kanila ay walang trabaho or underemployed and I’m afraid to be part of those people. Kaya ano man ang mangyari, basta kailangan may trabaho ako.


Diba sabi plans and ambitions. . . .hay…. kung ambitions ko na ang pag-uusapan…eto na un tehJ
Gusto ko na maging maalwan na ang buhay ng mga magulang ko, mapag-aral ko ang mga kapatid ko..OO, ako na, ako na talaga magpapaaral at magpapatapos sa dalawa ko pang sisters:) Yung tipikal na pangarap ng pangkaraniwang tao.
Magkaroon ng isang maganda at regular na trabaho sa isang magandang company...Pero honestly, gusto ko talagang mag abroad... Gusto kong dun tumira sa state...bakit..libre namang mangarap diba..hehehe...basta... Si God ang kasama ko sa lahat:)

Flash Advertisement for CEIT - IT

So here it is, this is the second time that I used Macromedia Flash,
first is nung ng summer classes kami sa La salle for free, ang ginawa ko nun e,
yung bilog pagalaw galaw lang. Haha.
Naklimutan ko na kung pano, kaya ng hanap ako sa net ng tutorial.
Sorry, sobrang simple lang ng output.
Nagkaron pa ng logo ng converter na ginamit ko, dahil di ko xa maupload dito, or on youtube.

No choice. I have to convert it pa to AVI file.
